The course and certification is not motorcycle specific, it is HUMAN specific.  No matter what your mode of transport might be, chances are you will be called upon to treat or help out another human being.  That being said, there were some things devoted to the removal or lack thereof of motorcycle helmets, which I found extremely beneficial.  It doesn't matter if you walk, ride, drive, or run places, you should have a fundamental knowledge of how to help someone out.  If god forbid, something were to happen to a member of my friends or family, I will at least have the fundamentals of how to keep them from injuring themselves further and how to delay the onset of shock.
