Someone has got to have gone faster than Pablo's 125mph.  Anyone?  Alpha?

Well, not many nice long hills here to get that type of speed. Our hills are seperated by a bunch of sweepers and turns and stuff like that. I probably hit 125 indicated when I was at the track, but the speedometer was taped over, so I dunno. I'm thinking next time I go out I'll wire up a bicycle speedo to the bike and just use it to log top speed (I don't look at the speedo when I'm on the track).

Since you've been on the track like one time and that was the time you wrecked.  :flipoff:

Ahh, true. But I still hit the straights and just kinda chilled there at 100+ while everyone was buzzing around me at like, 150.

I have no clue how fast I am going.

I though 160KPH is 110MPH.

And NO I don't sprekenzi deutch. or the german language. I might have sprekenzied a german girl though. maybe.

I know thats ignorant, but Ignorance is bliss. and bliss must be good, although I don't know why.

I have done a indicated 110mph on a my gs500 and 130mph on my cbr600. I try to keep my speed down now because I get used to it too quickley. The first time I went home doing 90mph most the way on my gs500 I thought I was going super fast, now it just feels normal.

Does modifying your bike help top speeds much?

Just wondering as mine is unmodified and clocked 105MPH (indicated) with 200RPM to spare.

ok people... just like another member mentioned a few days ago, it is much more fun to go in 2nd gear and do 9000rpm, than fly at 90+ miles in 6th gear. try it and you will see.

in 2nd gear you can actually hear your engine, and it sounds like a beauty (not to mention the safe speed you will be doing), while at 80 and above mph, you can only hear the wind, no matter how much you revv the bike.
Caturday yet?

Very true. There's also the fun of pulling out of a sweeper in third gear to redline. THAT is a blast :)

but the rush of the wind, the vibration of the bike, the speed of the passing asphalt below, the blurr of the gauges...... top end speed is still a buzz.

Been a few years since the GS was running, but I clearly remember hitting 110 insicated on it. I maxed the EX500 out at 130 indicated and rolled off my Triumph at 150 indicated, as my suspension was starting to float.

Speed is my heroin.
