I think consequences make a lot more sense as you get older......  I know that if I had a bike when I was 18, I'd be dead...  I know it.

nope, no pun intended.

In fact, it has been a cause of concern for me that I was doing that kind of riding and felt no rush. I havn't been riding since. well, not true, i have ridden, just not on a ride. I can't run that fast here in town.

187 kms indicated on stock '05. I was pinning the throttle down riding a/ a few cop friends on the highway, they blew me away w/ their bikes of course.

I don't know about you guys but my front was shaking pretty hard so I backed down. I was coming home from seeing some races so I was in a 'fast' frame of mind, since then I have been more sensible and hope to stay that way.

I was nudging 130 on my bike last spring at our "Mayor's Ride" hosted by our local Harley dealership.  We got to parade around town in 1st and 2nd gear most of the time, but about 3/4 of the way through the ride we got to blast down our local airstrip.  I maxed it out on the strip, and I was just under 130 indicated.  I've recently done the rejet and new rubber, so I'll be interested to see if it changes at all.  I couldn't hit the top of my RPM's.  I touched about 10,250rpms.
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!

how'd you do it?  what mods gain top speed?I have tried and tried, but cannot get 115mph indicated.

Do you have to redline 5th gear?  It seems like my 99' won't redline in 5th.  plus I start to run outta road.

so far I 'm just  8)  I wanna be more like  :o.  ya feel me?

Did ~165km/h indicated on some back roads last summer.  Usually just cruise at 100-110 on the 80 roads though.  It's not worth getting raped on the insurance if you get caught.

Not to mention, the roads up here in the North aren't always that great.... can't imagine hitting a pothole at 165km/h.... you'd certainly never see it in time.

I have done 180km/h (112m/h) indicated on my nude 04 and that was as fast as she would go. The bike felt really stable at that speed too, though it is not something I do on a regular basis. Like most, i just had to satisfy my own curiosity, which is okay because it only kills cats  ;).
