Should my air box smell like gasoline? Is this normal? I'm gonna wash it out before I put it back on.

Its connected directly to the carbs, so I imagine that's no real problem.

My old one does..it's been sitting outside for two days.

Smell is no problem. However, if you find that it's wet at the bottom or dripping through the fat drain hose you may have a shot float valve.
