Is it simply a metal piece we no electronics or gauges or any thing. ( I know it a dumb question but read on)

Also does it work for the F models (still dumb but please...continue)

Because if its simply a piece of metal then it can be machined right?

One of my co-workers, after I told him about this piece and how its not available any more and that most people that own GS's any more, wondered if it could be machined.  He used to be a machinist, and still has friends that can make it ( if its just a simple piece of metal)

And if this is an absolutely dumb post, please feel free to flame

Yes. No. With some effort, probably.

I was wondering the same things.

I have a friend here in Tampa who owns a machine shop.  If anyone has one of the V&H advancers for him to copy I know he could make them.  Let me know if anyone's interested and I'll ask him about it.

I too have a 500F.  I would like better throttle response and low-RPM behavior.  I assume a timing advance would cure these issues for me.  The DIY Timing Advance Page (http://www.gstwin.com/diy_timing_advance.htm) doesn't say whether it works for F's...does anyone have first-hand experience with this mod on F's?
