Who's Bob?

Mate, not many Aussies here like Fosters. Its probably our wost selling beer. I for one like it and I'm considered strange in doing so  :dunno_white:

I've had a bud, and your right, water tastes stronger.

I figured it wasn't too popular down under.  just like corona's in mexico.  Most mexican I know won't touch the stuff.

bob = no prob bob.  It just ryhmes.

I don't like fosters... I'm glad to hear it's not Australia's standard.  There is this great beer store down the street, I'll have to try have to try some other Australian beers sometime.

I think a lot of imported beers are like that; I went to Germany a few years ago and the beer there was far cheeper (like 40 euro cents for a 0.5L!!!) and far better than a lot of the imported beer you get here.

I see people hanging them off carious areas of their bike, putting htem into tankbags, backpacks etc. Of the three bikes I have, the disc lock fits under each ones seat nicely.

Since I've been studying in London this semester, I've come across quite a few beer oddities. In London, people drink Bud and think its a legitimately good beer. They choose it over Fostors and Carlsberg when they can. Fostors also sucks, but on tap its not too bad. Strangely enough, the same is true of Heineken. On tap in the Netherlands its actually pretty good, it doesn't have the bite of the canned/ bottled stuff. Most of the better beer in London is still imported, except for the ales/ bitters. Those have an interesting taste (they vary a lot) but they give awful hangovers.

Alcohol is Goddamn Expensive here because you're always subsidizing the National Health Service when you drink. Anywhere else is much better. In London you can expect to pay the same price in pounds as you would in the us in dollars. So, approximately 1.8x as much.

I'm ready and willing to get back to the US where a case of cheap light beer costs 14 bucks, where the cheapest beer here costs 1$/pint (buying in bulk at that).

I always see a differance between bottled beer and beer out of a tap.  I'll try a beer at a bar and like it a lot, but when I go and buy a case of it I don't like it so much.  Maybe the expensive bar prices make it taste better or maybe I've already had a few too many beers to really judge it being a good beer  :dunno_white:

That sucks beer is so expensive there.  I don't know what I'd do with myself.  But hey, theres nothing like an extra tax to protect you from yourself  :thumb:

I actually don't think it covers me, since I'm not a citizen. Would be damn nice if I had a bike here though since London riders are insane. They seem to have bikes (/ mopeds) for the sole reason of weaving their way through traffic and passing cars at stoplights. I'm surprised more don't get hit, but they seem to do a much better job with safety equipment.

my logic is if they really want the bike, or any of my crap for that matter, they'll take it regardless of what measures I put in place

a few guys could pick up your bike and put it in the back of a pick up in a matter of seconds

a few REALLY BIG guys.    I  tried this with SIX guys and we still ended up dropping her on the truck twice.  and it took an hour.  And these guys were ARMY.

your right though, IF I want your bike I'm gonna take regardless.  I mean them o'course.

lol. wtf are you talking about? Myself and two of my scrawny friends have loaded my gs500 in a truck in under a minute. Two people lift front, third stands behind bike and manages front brake. Load front wheel. Third person gets in front of bike and manages front break, other two lift rear and push forward. Bike is loaded on truck bed in less than a minute.

PS I'm a soon to comission 2LT in US Army  :2guns:

Would removing the fuse be a good alternative to a kill switch?

It would, but it takes time to do every time... if you're a weekend rider, then that's fine. but having to install and remove a fuse every time you want to ride when you're a daily driver gets a little time consuming (oh and if you loose the fuse and don't have spares... you're F&%$#d!)... so would disconnecting your battery...
