I don't know what it is but it seems like there are so many people wrecking on their bikes so early in the season. Not that there have been a lot of serious accidents posted here but over on tristatesportbikes.com there are probably about 6 or 8 posts of recent wrecks. Be safe everyone and wear your gear.

Not just about wearing gear, but practicing and getting back rusty skills...  A lot of people just jump on and go flying.  :nono:

Watch out for the moss that grows on the road where the trees shade the road from the sun most of the day.

Unfortunately there also seems to be a wave of crashes sometime around August too... Maybe from newbs being getting to the "I know everything" stage??

That's from the second wave riders.  These are the guys who see others riding bikes all summer long, and then finally get their own bike.

The first wave of dumps also is caused by lots of sand and gravel still on the roads.

yeah i have seen that trend as well.  I know that i was rusty after taking a break for a month and a half, cause it just got to clod for me to ride without fear of ice.   I know i am normally pretty good about wearing gear too, except the zipper on my leather jacket is busted now and i have to get it replaced or get a new jacket.  Gotta love being broke lol.
