I just bought two new tires. IRC 110 70 R17 and a 140 70 R17 rear tire... it seems that 130 70 R17 is a rare tire and must always be ordered.. atleast thats what ive been told out of 12 motorcycle shops in the Richmond area so I decided to go up a size in the rear. a little wider not much and slightly taller.  anyone have this size or run IRC tires?   just wanted to know some feed back.

never the less I will have pics of the new tires and break/clutch levers on tomorrow. going to make some new pegs on the lathe tuesday and start my SS exhuast system project. it pays off to know how to tig weld :) . and to have full use of a Airforce Machine shop.

I've got a rear IRC RS-310R Durotour in size 130/90-17.  Seems to be a fairly hard compound; after 3,000 mi there's very little wear.  Too tall in this size, though (looks a bit strange), and it barely clears the brake "arm."

If it ever wears out ;), I'll try the 140/70 also.
I brake for bezier curves.

I just put on the 140/70/17 in the sport demons. i like it. it doesn't hinder the flickability of the nible GS like I was told it would. I've only been riding the tires for about 70km and I've already got to the edge of the front tire, but I'm still about an inch away from the edge on the rear. I don't know if its posible to get to the edge of the 140, maybe I just havn't tryed hard enough yet. I seem to remember somone saying somthing about it being imposible, but that might have been on a 150.  :dunno_white:

Cheesy took the GS500 I bought from him to the edge of the 140 on the back.   He even leaned it over so far that he popped a rivet out of the carbon fiber Wiley Co slip-on by scraping it.  I believe he did it at the Dragon.
