Hello Everyone.I just bought an 89 GS500 a few weeks ago to build a More Modern Suzuki T500 Two Stroke.I was wondering if anyone here has a Frame At hand that could give me the Inside Measurements between the front Frame Rails at the Bottom,Middle and Top? I don't have the Bike and need to find out if it will be possible to fit the Exhaust Headers between the down tubes before I have the Parts I need Shipped. :dunno_white: :dunno_white:
I'll Appreciate any Help. :thumb:

JakeD-getting your nipple pierced is not crazy. Killing a drifter to get an errection? Now that's crazy!

Can't help you with this, but I saw this photo you posted to introduce yourself:

You might want to post the OTHER photo, too... :D

Welcome to the land of the GSTwins, Jughead / Justin; you do nice work. One of my best friends learned to ride in '69 on a Titan, and though he later bought my Honda CB550F cafe racer, he still speaks fondly of his old Titan...

You should consider posting some photos here:

More specifically, here:

http://www.bikepics.com/suzuki/t500/

The Titan section only has two photos, nothing as old as yours. I realize that the triple disc brakes aren't original; nice to see you've got them mounted BEHIND the forks. One of the first mods I did to my CB550F was to reverse the fork legs so the brake caliper was behind the axle; I realize Honda wanted the caliper in the airstream, but the handling was greatly improved by making that simple change (putting the weight behind the steering axis). Those don't look like the stock pipes, either; are they Toomey pipes? Your mods are in keeping with the cafe racer tradition... the drag bars, the blacked-out fenders, the trimmed front fender, the upgraded shocks, the... never mind, you've modded the HELL out of that thing... are those shouldered (Akront?) rims I see? What, no fork gaiters? That front end is NAKED without gaiters!

Post some DETAIL shots in the Odds n Ends forum for us, and give us some idea of the many mods you've performed.

Lastly, the Water Buffalo was an awesome machine; with a few mods, it could run with anything on the road... hope you've got some more pictures. If you need a place to post them, I've heard good things about smugmug and photobucket...

22.7cm (bottom under engine), 23cm (at upward curve), and 22.7cm (just below the junction cross piece) respectively. These are across frame numbers for a 90 I have here. The frame came from a boneyard and the bike had been wrecked. The frame seems square with the damage limited to the fork tube and front wheel.

BTW, welcome aboard!

My 69 is only Slightly Modified with New Mikuni VM34's the Pipes are as far as I have been told are J&R's,The rear Fender and Side Panel are Fiberglass. The Heads Have Been Milled to raise Compression and the Front End is from a GT550 Except for the Brake Rotors and Calipers which are from a GS550.The rims are Stock Suzuki.I would Like to have a Set of Aluminum Akronts or Gold Anodised RK/Takasago's.I still have a Lot to do to it and will Probably Never get done. :icon_lol: :icon_lol: I figure it Looks OK for the 8 Year Long term Project it turned into.I think I'll Probably pull it out Wednesday and rejet it to see if I can get the Bog out of it past 1/4 Throttle.

Oh Yeah I forgot to Mention that the Paint is from a Rattle Can.You can do Wonders with Plasticote Engine Enamel. :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: The Clear Coat Buffs out just as good as Regular Clearcoat.

I did Have Clip ons Just Above the Headlight and Rearsets but had the Backwards Shift Pattern. The Fetal Position just didn't work out since I broke My Foot a few years Back and I weight Just a Little too Much and as soon as I slumped over the Tank it immediately wreeked Havoc on my Back. Looked Great but it just Didn't fit my 6'5" Frame. :icon_rolleyes:

I doesn't look like it will be Possible without Some Frame Modifications or Modifications on the Exhaust port/Headers.I'll go ahead and have the Parts Shipped. If I can't make it work I'll either Part Everything out or find a GS500 motor to go back in. :dunno_white:
