I just got my new Chaparral catalog and see they have the Race Tech fork stuff now.  Catalog price for springs $99.99, but checking part numbers on their website shows $90.99 for .9 rate and $102.99 for 1.0 rate springs for 89-03 GS500.

They also have the Race Tech Gold Valve fork kits and the Gold Valve cartridge emulators listed for the 89-03 GS500.

I've never paid more than about $6 shipping charges for a DID chain and SS front sprocket from Chaparral.  $15 shipping for springs seems kinda high, might be worth checking Chaparral for this stuff.

Not bad! But go to the RaceTech website and calculate your necessary spring rate first. Mine was .722, which means I'd need to use the .8kg/mm springs, which aren't offered. Too stiff springs = bad.

Good deal for those, though. The emulators on RaceTech's website are $159, I believe, so $144 is a nice (albeit relatively small) discount.

Mine would be the .9 rate springs for $90.99.   

Could be why I've been happy with the Progressive springs for street use.   

MAW still has the 11-1128 Progressives for $49.95 plud S&H.

Might be worth a call to Chaparral for the lower rate Race Techs though, they might have them and not listed all.

The progressives are rated from .74 to .84 I think, so the .9 would be even better, especially because it's a straight rate.

Progressives are .57 to .8

If you ride in the rain alot you'll want a softer spring.
