Well, I can't even tell you how excited I am. Base price of $5,149.00. I know the owner, so he's taken off $2,000 right off of the top for me. I'm putting down 2G's to give me good credit, & get it financed. Less than an hour I'll be on my way, sign the paper work, get the keys, and off we go! Only thing that sucks is that I'm gonna be out on Vacation come Wensday (out of town). So that gives me today and tomorrow evening after work to ride....

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

I liked breaking in the GS. It was a good way to learn about the bike, as well as general riding techniques. It would drive me crazy to do it right now, but back then it was a good tool for me.

I read that entire P-P-P-Powerbook! thing.  Awesome!  Every time I get one of those "One of your millionaire relatives in Africa died and you get the money" emails, I totaly string them along for weeks.  Its great fun to totaly waste a scammers time.  It really feels like I'm giving back to the scamming community, you know?

I've strung a scammer along too with my mate, back fired abit when he some how got my mates mobile number (of his msn, stupid idiot had it in his profile).

We convinced him we were multidollar investors and wanted to buy millions of dollars worth of mobile phones from him (an email trace found he was from Nigeria, though he told us he was from London).

He wanted us to pay for the phones using Western Union (ie. you should be suss of all people who want to use Western Union as the payment method)

well to cut a story short (went for about 2 weeks), we said we weren't going to do a multidollar deal without meeting him. He balked.

Then the scammer said, "How about you send me money by Western Union so I can buy the plane ticket to Australia"

We replied: "No, we will send you a QANTAS non negotiable return ticket for you to use. We just need a photocopy of your passport!"

funny thing was he never replied??? Wonder why?
