Now first off i know this was incredably stupid but here goes.

I was riding back to base and hit this nice straight away, the only thing on the road was an 18 wheeler so i desided to go for it and open the gs up. Little did I know...... on the side of the road behind the truck was a florida state trooper.

By the time i saw him it was too late  :dunno_white: so I closed the throtle and glided her to a stop.

The frist thing the cop asked me was "Do you know how fast you were going"? To witch i replied no (I really had no idea).
Then he said "The speed limit is 55 and the slowest I got you at was 89 the fastest before you saw me was 104. I should cuff you and your bike right now".

Long story short, he gives me a break and starts writing me a ticket for 89 just so he doesnt have to take me to jail. About a minute later he askes me how much money i make a month and shows me how much the ticket will be ($304.80).

Now heres the good part......... He said "after you saw me you slowed down to 64 so Im going to write you up for doing 9 over"!!  :o

Lucky huh.

You are so incredibly lucky, just to let you know.

Here's a fun story. My friend got a ticket in his H1 (yes, a real H1) for going 108mph in a 70mph zone. 38mph over is a jailable offense if deemed necessary by the officer. However, the officer just wrote him a ticket. My friend took the claim to court and got his ticket repealed, as well as court costs and other things repaid to him. Know why?

Top speed on a Hummer H1 is ~84mph.

haha I was reading your post Alpha thinking to myself "There's no F-ing way an H1 was doing 108mph. No way at all!", before I read that last part. ;)

REALLY damn lucky...  More than 10 over and you're begging to be pulled over...  More than 20 over and you're begging for an angry cop to give you a lecture and a ticket...  But, almost 50 over...   :nono:  You're begging to be held at gun-point and hauled off to jail.  (Cops usually think the bike is stolen when you're going that fast).

I've driven a couple H1's, and during the first part, I too was thinking "That's impossible!"

Interesting story, but if you think that here if a cop stops you cause you were with only one hand on, whatever could be the reason, to scartch your balls or to bye someone, you will stay without the bike because here the laws sets that. Only one hand? Well, lock the bike ;)
