I'm looking to order a Firstgear Mach 2 jacket only and the only sizing info i can find is a chart based on height and weight. I'm kinda funny shaped (fairly wide across the shoulders and narrow in the waist etc). I need to know what the jackets measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam accross the back for a medium and a large.

I just want to make sure the jacket is tight enough it's not going to shift in a wreck but not so tight i can't move. Thanks  in advance for the help.

Email the respective company for the information.  I know Fieldsheer has an email link, for questions/comments.

It's a Firstgear jacket. I'll try to email the company i just don't have a lot of faith in hearing anything back from them any time soon. I figured asking on here would be a lot quicker

read the reviews/details at newenough.com. They translate mfg sizes into actuals pretty accurately.

yeah, i tried tried that already they just link to the sizing chart that firstgear has on their website which just goes by height and weight. Like i said i'm usualy large accross the shoulders but medium everywhere else and want to make sure i don't end up wit a jacket that is too tight or too loose accross the shoulders.

orrr you could always go to your local shop and try on a couple diffrent brands and see how they all fight .. if they all fight about the same then go with  what you think will fit

i went a tried on a few yesterday and was right on the boarderling between medium and large on all of them (leaning toward the medium side just to make sure everything is tight nad not gonna move). I wasn't sure if most companies size those jackets about the same or not. The store didn't carry any first gear stuff.

ya most probly wont cuz they know that if they have the icons, shift, ect. in there ,there gonna sell . the firstgear would to but it would put the bigger companys out
