I've tried the corbin and the "suzuki" gel seat  (I think they are made by Corbin or are a nock off, they are very similar except the Zuki one uses vynle and is softer).

I think the best is the gel seat.

gel seat is ~120$ so it's 1/2 as much as the corbin.  I got mine at parts depot... search for "parts depot" and you'll get a thread with the phone number.

Love the gel seat.

Yeah, I would imagine so.

Depends on your tolerances. I've ridden my wife's GS for 150 mile stretches without complant (of course it was the dead of winter so I had other things to Buddha Loves You about). And she has ridden it for several 600+mile days, not all at once, but close.

As has been said, comfort is sort of a personal limit.  I've ridden my GS up to 300 miles with the stock seat.  My main problem was that my seat is missing one of the rubber nubbins that sits on the frame, so it sits slightly crooked.  I've found that the key to any long motorcycle trip is stretching every so often on the bike, and getting off regularly for a good stretch and little walk.  If you do that, then any aftermarket seat will be just an added bonus.

I got the gel seat right before I did a 2400mile trip.  I did the trip in four days and my ass was never sore.  The temp was @ 35-40F the whole trip so I stopped probably every 100ml or so and would warm up.  This probably helped the comfort level but it is a fantastic seat  :thumb:

If you can ride 300 miles non-stop, you must have an extra gas tank!     !!!!!

I've got the Suzuki Gel Seat and love it.  I've ridden from Wichita KS to 45 miles north of Omaha NE (400+miles)in about  7 hours one time and didn't have any soreness.

And I have to agree with Spotswood--if you got 300 miles on a trip you've gotta have an extra tank.  The farthest I got on the trip was 188 miles on a tank (took 3.83 gallons to fill up--talk about cutting it close)
