From what I can tell:
Emblems shaved
Front License plate mounts removed and smoothed
Updated 99-01 Front bumper/headlight assembly
Type R Lower lip (?)
And side mouldings removed
Very nice clean Job :thumb:

Was I close? :dunno_white:
Had a 99 GS-R 4 Door myself.  ;)

Well done... you missed the side mirrors though. ;) 98 spec or Type R of all years.

CasiCUA beat me to it. I would have missed the Type R stuff though-not up to date on that stuff. the mirrors look identical to mine though (97) and my wife's (98).

very nice work.

Hmmm.... I dunno.. thats what I was told.. I didn't really care to confirm.. I was just painting em.

Maybe the other smooth face ones are just on LS's? I know the R got those in all years for a fact.

Its there... on the driver side. (I really wanted to shave it though... I kinda think its ugly and takes away from the smoothness and flowing lines of the car)

I would have loved to take a decent car and have fun with it but budet problems got in the way. Then, about a month ago, I realized I could do the same thing on a bike for about a tenth of the cost. So thats the direction I'm headed  :)

Very nice car though, I like the paint.

So I had removed the turbo setup from my car last summer and saved some cash. I also autox'ed the hell out of it in NA form Anyway... After a few months NA I realized that it was time to start from scratch and get some boost again.

Those are some nice looking cars.  What are your 1/4 mi times?  and rough hp at normal settings?  I've got almost all the parts for my turbo upgrade sitting in my closet but instead of finishing it i bought my gs.   :dunno_white:  it can wait a little longer.

I'm going with the basics to get it going.  Here is what i have so far:
a stock ka block and head,
t3/t4  50 trim,
ssautochrome top mount manifold (only temporary until I get a better one welded)
duel dsm side mount intercoolers,
tial 40mm wastegate,
generic bov (but thinking of using a modified dsm),
500 cc injectors,
walbro high flow fuel pump,
300zx high flow fuel filter,
300zx 80mm maf sensor.  I think thats all i have so far.
Still missing a few key components to get it put on and running though.
Here it is:

i'm not much for fwd, but i was doing the same thing with my first car when it got totaled. I had a 72 BMW 2002, e21 5spd, bilstein HDs, H&R's, built strut tower braces, gutted the carpet and center console, e21 recaro buckets, i had a set of 22/19 adjustable track bars, a pair of Hella driving lights mounted up front, and i had just tore down an e30 I motor to rebuild and install when i got rearended, insurance totaled the car, i bought it back and sold it for what i had in it. I've been kicking myself ever since for not just fixing it and building a screaming track car. I hadn't started ordering parts for the imotor so i could have very easily built a good turbo motor, but alas, people suck.

Nice 240. Reminds me of my friend's. He is making 300/300ish tq on his stock KA.... looks for pictures...

Don't have any 1/4 times... not really a big straight line fan so I don't get out to that kinda track often if ever. I should easily be in the low 13's provided I get traction. Roasting 4th gear on the highway leads me to believe with slicks my car would be decent at the strip.

Summer Autox w/ buddy's 240

DO NOT USE THAT MANIFOLD. I can tell you from first hand experience (on another friend's 240 that I made the downpipe for).... that manifold will position the turbo VERY POORLY. It will place it extremely close to your master cylinder and make the downpipe sit extremely close to the MC as well. It is just not worth it... you will have to get a new mani anyway... and then waste money on a dp that you will later realize needs to be redone with the mani.

Actually.... lucky for you I have a picture of this retarded fitment... GT32 w/ an SSautocrap mani.

Custom is truly the way to go. I made my log manifold for less than 100 in materials.

I know... its a crappy manifold but it was given to me after a friend used it as a temp mani until I made him his.  I just say I have it so in my mind it seems like its almost ready to be put on when actually I have allot more time to invest into it.

Oh ya I forgot to mention, but i'm sure yous guys can tell, I have a little suspension work done also.  Just lowering springs, full poly bushings, strut bars, and 300zx brakes up front.  Coilovers are on the list of things needed also.
