Ok here is the scoop, I was convinced that adding two auxillery lights would increase my visiblity driving, so I went and bought some cheap lights and wired them up to the side light wire already in place next the the headlight wire.
I rode it around for about 3 days with no worries, then let it sit for about a week due to rainy conditions.

So when I sat down to start the bike everything came up a ok, and started. Instantly something killed the motor, I thought maybe  I hadn't given it enough choke and tried to do it again. BAM everything is dead: no lights no start nothing!

I talked it up with some of my buddies and we thought well maybe the auxillery light sucked that battery, so I had it recharged.
Still nothing

So yesterday I got mad and just rolled in down a slope and clutch started the bike.
Now the bike will sit there in idle, and even though the bike's battery is supposivley good the electrical system is flickering.

NOW HERE IS THE STRANGE PART!!!
The bike won't respond to me applying throttle, it sounds as if i'm flooding the carb or something.  Interestingly enough I hit the brake with my foot while i was trying this and the throttle responded like nothing was wrong?Huh?
Does anyone have any idea what the heck is going on,  The bike has ran like a gem all spring and I really don't want to take it anywhere.

Thanks

Jim

Sounds like an electrical problem...  If you're not getting a clean spark, more gas will make it worse.

As for why the brake-light fixes the issue?  NO CLUE!  :?

I'd check out the wiring and see if something came loose or is wired wrong.  Maybe try disconnecting the extra lights and see if that fixes the issue.

I'm going home to check the fuse right now, so I will give you an update on that.

I forgot to mention I figured the lights were the factor in the beginning and they are disconnected first step of my troubleshooting before the post.

Thanks again

UPDATE
fuse fixed it thnx 4 the help

Are you able to still use the extra lights?

Do you have any pic's of your lights?

I was thinking of adding lights to my bike, but I was worrieded about drawing to much current.
