well this thurs will be the last time i see my bike. i sold it for 3600$

when i got it it had 1700 miles on it, it now has 12000 on the clock. its been a wild ride and i loved every mile but the one were i wrecked on it.

i have a 95 cbr f3 600 siting on the back porch waiting for me to swap tags. i just need to make some minor repairs to it and it will be ready to roll. i may sell it, got it for a 1000 and could turn and sell for 4000 i think.

and get another new Honda as the cbr seems to be a better cruising bike.

every one that asked about the gs thought it was a 600 but i would tell them no, and then there like i want a 600. i thought i would never sell it. just because of that.

but all and all i hate that i am getting rid of my first sport bike, one that seems to just keep taking a beating and keep going.  it has never let me down, never.

I thought I'd hang onto my first GS500 forever, too. I just loved him so much! My bf put it in perspective, though. He believes in returning to the community, and by selling our first bikes, we're giving back to the community by helping a newbie with a GOOD first bike.

It was easier (not easy, but easIER ;) ) to let my baby go, because I knew he was going to be teaching another newbie how to ride.

At some point, I'll likely return the ratbike to the newbie community, too.... but not quite yet..  :icon_mrgreen:

what the hell happened to that damn tank?

yea back in 05 Oct i went to the gap for the first time (deals gap) i had 6300 miles on the bike then.
and had just got the bike in mid Aug. on the last day (sun) i was there at 9:30 am, i was making my last run on the road before packing up and heading home.

shorty passing a mini van i went into a corner call Gravity cavity.

i was going too fast, and washed the font end out or pushed it through the Conner, as i leaned even more to make up for the speed i leaned way too far.

my knee hit first, not having knee pucks on i just keep on leaning till bam on the side and into the really big mud bank, were my arm stopped my head from the tank.

after about 3 tumbles i was on the right side of the bike with my arm pined in the handle bars.

gas every were, and i was stuck. had to yank my arm three time before i got unstuck.

when i got up i was like "holy shaZam! that was cool as shaZam!, then i was like that going to be expensive as shaZam!"

then the mini van stop and helped me get it out of the bank. got it started, took some pictures and then collected parts, and rode it back to the hotel and put my part on the tree,  (which some ass hole broke into 4 small Peace's)
