I am a electric shaver man myself, but yesterday, I used a free (new) razor that the college gave all the guys in the bookstore.

I have to say, I can get a closer shave using my electric, unless I'm doing something wrong...

Girls...  Please input too.  I'm thinking about trying NAIR or some other hair remover you girls use on your fine looking legs (and other unmentionables...   )...

I know it sound wierd that I'm considering a women's product, but if they can produce such a close smooth feeling, why not for our faces???

there is actually a NAIR for Men.


However, I'm an old Razor and Cream kinda guy.  Electrics tend to rip the hair out of my ass... I mean, face.  And that doesn't feel too good.

I'm a fellow asian dude, so I can get away with an electric. BUUUT, when I want a really close shave, like when I'm going on a date (so like once a year), I'll use a blade..

Be vewwy, vewwy careful with NAIR. It's very harsh, and it can really burn your face if you're not careful.... 

NAIR is a waste and NADS are a waste.  Waxing is cool if you can stand the pain and the price.  I just stick to razors myself.

I agree with aj on the NADS, though. That stuff is a total waste of money. For waxing, try EMLA cream. It's a prescription numbing cream, and it's a lifesaver!

I've used both electric and blades and either works great for me.  However when i use a blade i have to shave less often.  never used wax or any other hair removal stuff.  I've heard bad things about NAIR though, as pandy said before, like it can cause chemical burns on some and just plain doesn't work a lot of the time.

You can get aloe with lidocaine in it OTC

I stick to blades myself. I got one of the new Gilette 5+1 bladed razors recently, and i's actually pretty nice.

My girlfriend uses NAIR and it works really well, but she says you have to be careful about how long you leave it on.

I was at the beach with a bunch of friends (in Florida where I grew up). One brought a surf board and was fiddling around with it. Asked me if I wanted to give it a try.
"Sure" was my reply.

He had just waxed his board and the stuff was sticky. As I tried to stand up....the stuff started pulling the hair off my chest and stomach!

The worst part was explaining why my skin as rashed up looking.

The dude just had to deal with a hairy surfboard. 

I use a Braun Activator 8595 with Afta pre-electric gel.  It's quick and easy, but not as nice as my good'ol Mach 3.

I've used NAIR before, but not on my face, I would highly NOT recommend it because it can remove a layer of skin and make things burn like the blazes of hell for a couple days

Mach 3 + Gillette lime shaving creme.

Anyone ever see that MAD TV spoof of a Mach10? It went something like this: The first 3 blades get a deep skin close shave. The last 7 cut deep past the Epidermis and Dermis.
