Let's talk about all the reasons why it is so horrible to start a new thread..

Its not horrible to start a new thread but you have to be open to the responses.  If someone asks to to search and then provides you with search results then you should look at them.  If you dont know how to search, then ask nicely.  I dont think that anyone really has a problem with someone who starts a new thread... it is all about their attitude when the receive replies......

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

Hm..interesting. So no one has a valid reason for not starting new threads?  :icon_razz:

There's nothing wrong with starting new threads on topics that have been covered before.  Sometimes the chatter gets so thick by page 2 of a 6 page thread that I don't want to read through everybodies jokes and OT commentary to find the answer to my question (of course, I'm usually one of the people cracking the jokes, so I can't really complain).

another argument in favor of reposting old questions is that those old topics, even those about which exhaust, how do I rejet, what kind of tires, etc.  Have answers that are always changing.  People are trying new things and having new ideas all the time.  So I say post 'em up!
