I saw it last night.

Some difficult images to deal with.

Anyone else bothered by some of the images?

Spoiler alert:

The guy with the huge sward totally freaked me out.  And the guy with his feet tied to his eyes with barbed wire freaked me out.

Oh my gosh. I just went to the website and seen the trailer. Looks pretty intense, definitely not something to take the kids along to see... :o

JoAnna's trying to get me to see that with her. I told her it's a freaky game and she's not gonna like the movie, but she keeps insisting. The next few nights after it should be interesting...

What's disturbing to me is quite different to others. I mentioned wanting to see Hostel, and my friend Jill goes "no, it's the worst movie ever." I asked why, and she said "the first half is pretty much just an orgy with fun bags all over the place, and the second half is just people dying gruesome deaths." Yeah...now why wouldn't I want to see this again?

I'm a big QT fan...the movie is amazingly produced, I think I tried to analyze it too much and got way to into it. Ive been trying to finish it for 3 days now, and everytime it makes me almost puke. Its intense but thats exactly what it was meant to do. Its not so much scary as f%$#ed up

:o How dare you think I'd look at them! I look away in shame  and wait until they are gone before I look back

But if you really want to know, really pretty good. The evil brunette chick is really kinda hot  ;)

Thank you, I will go ahead and follow my instincts and see that one. For artistic purposes only, of course. Not because I love boobies.

Thread jack over, back to Silent Hill...

The movie isn't really scary...it's just sickening. but still good if you can handle it. when i went (the day it came out) i had to sit on the damb floor because there were people saving seats for their friends waiting outside...and the movie was sold out!

That movie was great.  Me the GF and a friend of ours went to see it the day it cam out.  Both my GF and our friend were scared shitless, my GF didn't sleep a wink that night and i sneezed in the middle of the night and she screamed like I was going to kill her.  I didn't find it that scary just really f'ed up.  I did like it though

The metal mask guy was pretty intereting.  I don't appreciate what he did to that girl outside the church.  I had to try and block that out of my mind.

It was really gross.  The barbed wire guy was gross too.

The re-make of Texas Chainsaw Massicre was more disturbing for me.  I mean visually.  I was scarred after that movie.  I didn't want to have intercourse for like 3 days afterwards.

My gf and I watched The Hills Have Eyes the week before which was great, so when we watched Silent Hill we thought it was just ok.  I think I liked THHE better because it was a more realistic science fiction based story where SH was a supernatural story that was a bit to out there for me to get totally into.  So if you havent seen THHE, go see it

those were probably two of the craziest parts of the movie.  the huge sword guy was freakin awesome...although the head piece was weird

the guy with the head tied to his food was freaking insane.  overall the movie was very good IMO.

The only thing that sucks about movies like this is out of the theater, there not really that interesting anymore.
I've found that movies like  The Ring and The Grudge (along the same lines i guess  :dunno_white:) don't quite have the same appeal on dvd  :dunno_white:

All movies like that are a million times better at the drive-ins

I love drive-ins.  The sad thing about cities is they tear all the cool stuff down to build new 'better' stuff.
