So, I've got this old Shoei RF-200 sitting in my closet right now. I got it for free from my father's friend who couldn't take it with him when he moved. I gave it to my girlfriend for a while until I noticed the interior material starting to deteriorate, so I upgraded her helmet to a Scorpion EXO-400. The helmet is easily 14 years old and in need of relpacement anyways.

I've got some options on what to do with this helmet since it isn't going on anyone's head. I'll do my best to get it on video of course, as well as post damage pictures here. Here are some options, add more if you have any good ones.

1) Run it over with my roommate's F-250
2) Play a little baseball with it
3) Drop off EXCESSIVE heights (we're talking a good dozen stories at least, if I can find a good place)
4) Dispose of it properly like a responsible person should

Turn it into a pot for a plant 

Send it to me so I can use it for target practice...hey....I've never shot up a helmet before!

Doubtful. I have no place where I can make a huge blazing inferno of a helmet without attracting a lot of unwanted attention. Plus the whole neverending-Texas-burn-ban thing.

I was thinking about this too, but have no place to get a firearm nor place to shoot one (can't shoot in city limits unless defending home and property, or at a firing range).

  Put some Windex on it 

Section it on a bandsaw.  Take a complete section about 1/4" thick, clean it up, and build a matte and frame for it.  Oh yeah, get an X-ray of somebody's head to stick inside.  Now hang it on your wall for an instant conversation piece.

sell it on ebay as a 'vintage item'

(Hey folks did it with Macs, why not a helmet. For some deep sea cratures, as it will be dark...)

Stick it on the front of your bike, sort like Jim Knopf did on his bike.

Of course, it wouldn't be as cool. Matter of fact, it wouldn't be 1/16th as cool, but you could still do it.

Drill a hole in the top and wire it up into a lamp...


Play a pickup game of football in your neighborhood and use that helmet for protection...


Bicycle helmet...


Use it for safety glasses when doing yard work...


Wear it in your car and put NASCAR numbers on the side...


Hmmm...cut off the front half and attach it to the back of your good helmet that way people behind you think you have your helmet on backwards...

damn... those are some RED NECK ideas.

So far, the most plausible and workable ideas:

1) Run it over with the F-250
2) Turn it into a pot for my bamboo plant

I'm going to go with.... Turn it into a centerstand for your bike.
