Glad you had a good time! There are TONS of great canyons around here but ACH has to be the best. back a few years ago the road would open up allthe way to wrightwood ski area-THAT was an awesome ride but rains 2 yrs ago damaged the road and they still havent fixed it. permaclosed.

I did bring my camera, just for AJ, and wouldnt you know it-batteries died as I tried to take first pic (starting with your bike). SO I'll post up the pictures (and video!?) some of the others took.

Like this one, someone is using as a signature:

this is most of the 35 or so bikes at the turnaround point ("the tree"). For those that dont know, this is also the northerly entry to the Angeles National Forest, and we start at the southerly entrance.

had a good time but MAN was it hard to actually ride the whole way up to newcombs ranch restaurant at the speed limit. I HAD to open it up on the way back...

yes, one rider came in his car and followed some of the group with video (other riders have onboard video as well). He was at the turnaround point taking random video while we were hanging out:

dont know if this video will work:

Saturday was a fun ride, tons of folks there. That's the first time I did tujunga or AFH. I had a great time even though we kinda got lost from the main group later on. Even though leo couldn't make it on Saturday, I met him Sunday at the skillzday. Great weekend for riding all around.

I'm going to head up to ACH again tomorrow (and probably most of the rest of the week). If anyone wants to join me, I'll be at the Shell around 9:30 am.

yeah, I didnt tell you the "tree" is where the Angeles Crest national park sign is because I expected you to stay with the group. Instead you went ahead. When I told you there would be lots of bikes there I meant our group...LOL...

thats alright, you made it back...it was a good day fo rus, not so much for another rider. Didi you hear about the other large group that left newcombs shortly after us? they were hit head on by an SUV only 150-200 yards down from newcombs. lots of bikes on the ground-one fatality. Mostly older riders in that group on bmw's and ducati's. RIP fellow rider...gotta keep that in perspective.

Yeah, we accidentally passed you when the dude dropped his bike at big T. The only people I really could recognize were you and Eric, but I didn't see either. (How the hell I missed Eric, I'll never know.) It worked out fine in the end, but we were definitely questioning our sanity when we passed you at the tree on our way back.

I read about the other rider on SCS. A big black mark on an otherwise great day. Just makes you remember how crazy the streets can be even if you are focusing on it.
