ok, i was just checking my valve clearance and stuck a glove in the little gap where the chain runs to keep anything from dropping down there. Well when i went to rotate the wheel to seat the shim and measure I forgot to take the glove back out and it got rotated into the gear a little bit, just enough to pinch it there (one maybe two tooths in) well i managed to pull it back out again. and then there was slck in the chain what wasn't there before, but after rotating the wheel a time or two it was gone and everything felt like normal.

tell me this didn't damage anything. please

Probaby not mucked it up ... check the timing ... and release the CCT and re tension it if you're paranoid ... then you'll be OK.
Cool.
