um..  :dunno_white:

What the hell is THIS?!?!

150cc single with an automatic tranny.
something tells me you wouldn't have to worry about getting swarmed with hotties when you roll up to bike-night on this bad-boy.

what IS a Hokie?

It isn't really called a "sportbike" is it?  Its like a sport scooter or something.  I don't really get who this would be marketed at...  Anyone who rides a scooter wants the "legs through" design and obviously isn't into the "sporty" thing.  Anyone who wants a sporty bike sure as hell isn't going to buy a friggin scooter like this thing.

I'd love to see two 250lb badasses roll up riding 2-up at a bike night on that thing though!  That would be wizz-yo-pants material!

Whats funny is the retail for that thing is the same as a ninja 250.

Not sure why anyone would buy that...

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Some of these bikes on their site look pretty good....now if they just put some bigger engines on them then I might be interested!!!

Phaedrus

Hell, if I could find one used for cheap - I'd ride it.  :icon_razz: I rode a 50cc Zuma around, this is way cooler than that was. Good MPG, good for getting around. This 150 will prolly get up to 60-65 without any problem, it is probably geared pretty low. I bet it is "torquey", even though it has such small displacement.

I checked out some of their other bikes - not bad stuff. I didn't get into the complete specs, but they all seem pretty cool. Look like knockoffs. The comet makes me think "GS500" or "SV650".

The one I really like is the Daelim . Now that is pretty cool. Still only 125, but that has great style. I would totally buy it, even at the price it is new. Hell it even has a rear disc brake.

actually, i'm interested in the comet GT250R.  It offers a 250cc alternative to the ninja.  I have to say I completely approve of the styling.  It pimp-slaps the ninja250's looks back to the 80's  :thumb:

The Derbi website doesn't show a good picture of there new GP1 250cc 2 stroke. I read it in T.W.O the other week - its a 4 stroke capable of 100+ its automatic as well!

PS. My 50cc Reiju has Showa forks, disk brakes front and back, liquid cooling and will do 65 :) All standard features. I think you'll get 70 outta a 150cc scooter with a few tuning mods.

I don't think it's too bad. Yeah, we ride bikes so we wouldn't get one, but think about the people it could draw in. Bike are intimidating and scooters are just ghey, so what is there in between? Considering every major bike manufacturer is coming out with half bike, half scooter concepts these days, you might be looking at what the future holds for motorcycling in the entry level sense. :thumb:

Yeah, that's what I was wondering too. I was looking around for a Comet 250 rear wheel to see if it fit on our GSes without modification, but found that there are little to no Hyosungs or Hyosung parts in the US.

it looks like Hyosung is rolling out faster in New England than anywhere else.  There are a few dealers in Pennsylvania, but none near the middle of the state.  I don't know that I would buy one, but I have to admit I am curious to test-ride the GT250 and 650 to see how they stack up against the GS500 and SV650

Looks cool!  R1/RC51 front with a Ducati trellis frame.  If I had disposable income, I'd get one.
