riding!

It's 70 degrees and sunny and I'm outa here. Had my neice's first bday party at Chucky Friggin Cheese's this AM and I've wasted several hours of seat time. Put the keyboard down and gear up!

Because my forks are sitting in my living room with me on here bitching about how I can't change the fork seals.  This settles it.  I will have to get a storage unit with power so I can bring my compressor and air tools back to FL with me.
Sorry, I won't answer motorcycle questions anymore.  I'm not f%$king friendly enough for this board.  Ask me at:

It's cool and rainy today. If I really had the urge, it wouldn't stop me but I just don't feel like it. I've got stuff on the computer I gotta do anyways  :icon_lol:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

It's sunny 'n seventy here too in the River City, and I'm chained to this freakin' desk at work(w/nothing to do, no less). Gotta be here, though, and then a wedding to attend tonite, so no riding after work, either. Oh well, I know there will be other days.
It's not how fast you go, rather "how" you go fast!

FearedGS500

wish it was 70 here its freaking 90+ !!!

starwalt

...because I'm not finished with the 90 project AND it just came a thunder/hail storm through here. About 15 minutes worth of hail. Max size about 1" diameter.

Hope it didn't dent the car surfaces. I picked up a new Dodge Magnum two weeks ago. It'd be a bummer to drive a "textured" car for two years (fleet vehicle).

Now it's deal clear and sunny. Lot's of steam/water vapor coming off the road and ground. Hail fog.

I just got back from a ride around town. Went to a few dealers and looked at bikes and gear, lusted over an old black and red Z1000 (love!) and then came home before it got too hot. Looks like we'll be cresting 95 today.

This was too funny. Congrats to all who did. Sorry to all who didn't. I got to ride a friend's SV650 for a bit today and I must tell you.......what a friggin bike. Torque. Nuff said.

If you know anything about the terrain around Philadelphia, I took it down Lincoln drive and it was a sweet but short ride. A few miles of urban twisties that is made for that bike. I love my GS, but I fell in love again today! (don't tell my wife, but I'm getting one)

I also did a panic stop on my ride home (on the GS)that would make any experienced rider's butt pucker. The issue? Speed.

Came over a rise and saw two cars in the right-hand lane of a four lane with brakes and my brain initally told me "they're slowing". A second later at 70MPH my eyes told me "THE RED LIGHT WAS BEHIND THE CARS AS YOU CAME OVER THE HILL" I hit the front brake and my 20+ years of dirt bike riding ass exclaimed "THE FRONT BRAKE IS JUST NOT GOING TO CUT IT BRO".

So I kept the front moving and stepped on the rear brake enough that I could stear left around the cars and slide ever so gracefully past them into the crosswalk markers to a stop. Two brake stops are key to saving the kids from not having their natural Father, when you've made an error.

It was one of those panic situations that you come out of smiling about the fact that you remembered the years of training to deal with situations like that, instead of the type that leaves your hands shaking (been there too)

That's all. Beer time

yeah thats way shady...had an incident the other day where I was waiting at a light to make a left...the light turned yellow and the oncoming car that I thought would stop decided to gun it instead.  Wasnt too close really but still not fun.
