The ultimate upgrade...

I've been wanting to write about this for a while now. I have found what I would say is the ultimate upgrade for your bike. Not everyone can have it, but the ones who can will benefit greatly from it. Here's the best part. It costs practically nothing. What is this wonderful upgrade?

It's called losing weight fatty. I'm 5'8" and at the beginning of the year I weighed 195 pounds. Not exactly what you would call fit. My new year's resolution was to diet, and diet I did. Also told myself I wasn't going to get the 600 I'd been looking at until I hit the average weight for my height (about 160 pounds). This morning I weighed in at 158 pounds. The difference between my GS from last year and this year is absolutely night and day. It feels lighter, faster, turns in quicker, and revs way stronger. I mean it's a very noticeable difference. So if you can stand to lose some weight, I highly suggest you do because it makes motorcycling just a crap load more fun. :thumb:

And for you skinny pricks that just always stay skinny no matter how much you eat, I hate you. :thumb:

LMAO  I'm the type that can just look at food and gain weight ( in the process of dieting now ).  My wife eats more than 3 people combined ( this is not an exageration) and besides the time she was pregnant is never over 110 lbs.  After she had our baby it took her about 3 weeks for her metabolism to get her back down to 105 lbs.  All this without excercising.

I always appreciate the "new" performance of the GS after I lose 110lbs...  (When the wife gets off the back)

Congrads on dropping the weight.   :thumb:  If I could get back down to 165 (from 175) I could fit in those leather pants again...  Uh... I mean... Uh... Nevermind.

thats great man :thumb:  I would like to get down to 175ish, currently somewhere between 190 and 200, man i need to start running again  .  The heaviest i have been, at 5'11", is 245.  Its hard but it sounds like you did it the good way.  Now comes the battle of keeping it off

Good work, rougegeek!

I'm going to get blasted for this, but this is something I overheard on The Man Show:

Jimmy Kimmel: "Let's get some questions from the audience.  How about you, in the white shirt."

Audience member: "Hey, Jimmy.  My wife just had a baby.  When do you think she'll get back to her pre-baby weight?"

Jimmy Kimmel: "About six months after she's dead."

Many of the ancients believe that Jake D was made of solid stone.

Funny thing is I use to be like that. It was after I got my current job 8 years ago was when I stopped playing hockey, swimming, water polo, and just being active all together in favor of sitting at a desk in front of a computer was when the weight came up. Stupid job!
