Well I had an ohlins but since I didn't pay for it I gave it to the guy who did...I'm so nice.  It's alright though...that bastard had like 19 different adjustable bits and gave me a migrain to think about tuning...

So I stuck one of my random Sachs pieces back on while doing some catch-up work to her and I discovered this today!

One of the shocks in my pile is slightly different...and has a showa sticker on it...and stamps....wow.  So I ripped the Sachs back off and slapped this bad boy on...and I already hate it.  Got to tune it down a bit...the guy who had this bike before must have had a spare chin or two.

Anyway...

^You can see some of her danglin' bits there...

And lastly, in all her magnificent multi-colored collaboration of 5 different bikes, the TL's current state of being:

After having another TL handy for a while (Soma's) and then riding and hearing mine again...:devious....damn she sounds like a monster!  When I was finally able to fire her up again last night and ride briefly I was so excited I had to stop and pee.

For those of you who don't remember, this is her last march:

showa comes standard on the RR. :flipoff: tossed it in favor of Penske.

Next SSSA kit I sell I'll be running Ohlins...but I'll have to have someone set it up for me...fucker is nuts...

I hated the yellow.  As soon as I put the bike together I couldn't believe I thought it was a good idea.  Not really a whole different direction, though...the street-fighter thing was a hold-over.  My tanks was completely rusted out, my foward subframe was broken in half and my tail and frot fender was completely buggered. I got a new tank and finally got around to building a new front subframe (replaced that crappy aluminum POS with a sturdy steel piece).  I've now got a newfront fender, too (not pictured), but my tail is still buggered.

Since the tail's still screwed up I'm considering shooting it red to see how it'll look wiht the black front fairing, fender and frame.  Unseen there is that my sprocket cover is red, and my rearset plates will be momentarilly.

i liked it better as a streetfighter with the dual headlights.  :dunno_white: Other than the yellow frame, that looked awesome!

I've got a bunch of streetfighters...the only reason I tore the TL down was because of all the parts I was in the process of replacing.  Don't get me wrong, streetfighters are great (which is why I still have several), but a lack of winder protection, clutter and zip-tied componentry gets real old on long straight roads travelled by a bike that cruises happily at 120+.

I like the current state of being for it  :thumb: I didn't care much for the previous look. Good job!
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.
