on my cbr 600 i have M1's and there unfriging belivable compared to the bt45's life wise they suck but they handle like a dream. so here is the queston

what size should i go with front and rear, they dont make the right size for the rear but what size can fit?  what size should i go to in the front so that they match good?

Don't understand, are you wanting to put the BT45 or the M-1 on the GS500 or on the CBR600?  If CBR600, what year?

He wants M1's for the GS.

Try BT090..Awesome track tire..probably stickier than M1's. They come in 140 too.

Since you are in Cola....contact "Stickboy" aka Derek or Lori at www.stickboyracing.com

His is a Bridgestone dealer. It helps fund his racing habit.

With the addition of the BT090PRO to the Brigestone site, we finally find a US tire mfg site that approves fitment of the 150/60 tire on the standard 3.5" rear GS rim.  Might help sooth the fears of the 150 naysayers here that predict the falling off of the edge of the world with this fitment.

Probably a good choice for track use, but the M-1 would be better for street use considering tire life and the new M-3 better yet.  It's now at online suppliers.

Since the 150/60 tires are approx the same dia as the OE 130/70 tires, I'd be inclined to try the 110/70 M1/M3 front with it.

uhm, no... it says, and I qoute...

Quotees you are buying are described as 'rain tires' they are NOT for use in dry conditions. Race rains are extremely soft, and will overheat, lose traction, and wear out in short order on dry pavement. DO NOT use them in dry conditions, ever.

if they are RAIN tires, don't use them in dry conditions.

Yeah my front BT45 is cupping pretty bad and I have checked the pressure regularly. I won't buy another set of the BT45's, not only does the wear suck. but I think the cornering performance does too. So I've been thinking of going to either a 140/70-17 or 150/60-17 rear. Will this fit and work ok?????? Who here has done it on a stock rim??? I didn't really understand that link that was posted.

All of the many front tires I've tried on the GS's have cupped and bevelled badly except a ME33 I used sometime back.  That was my reason for choosing the new Lasertecs over the Demons or Activs, the Lasertec front has the same ME33 type tread pattern.

I've got about 6k miles on the Lasertecs now and the front is wearing evenly like the old ME33 did.  I've gone to HH pads front and rear and have put more braking load on that Lasertec front than I did on the ME33 front.  Just waiting to see how long the Lasertecs last before choosing them again for the next set or going back to the sport touring radials.

I'm running the 110/80 and 150/70 Lasertecs.

I saw nothing there that would make me even think about not using them.

The only thing I saw was a guy complaining that he was running the wrong air pressure.

well i already had mind on the M1's or M3's as i had them in my other bike and they were wonderfull. so final take on size

150/60/17 rear and
110/70/17 front

is this right? i am worryed that my turn in will be changed and lean will be unstable if that is what i need to be worryed about?

I also thought about going with a 140/70-17 rear. Has anybody switched to radials and what are the affects???
