However managed to lock my rear brake yesterday at school . . .

Following a teacher on the way out of the rural village, narrow road cars parked either side, she pulled into the other lane to get around a parked car approaching, then a car came toward her when she was commited to going past the parked car. Last second changed her mind and slammed her brakes on and pulled back in behind the parked car to let the car come the other way. I was caught totally off guard because i thought she was going past the car. Hard hard braking on the front and went to apply some back brake and due to all the weight been at the front it locked and it. Back wheel went sideways as though i was backing it into a corner on the racetrack under hard braking. Didnt feel scary but i was pissed - specially when i got home and saw i had a slick tyre  :2guns: It was close to need a new one but where it had locked up it had just worn away the last bits of rubber. 126 quid front and rear to be fitted on saturday *sigh*
