Something is screwey with the server the board is on and server load skyrocketed, because of this my host killed the site.  They can't tell me what happened but the server load is still outrageous for this little board and they haven't figured it out yet.

Their guess is its on their end but they aren't sure yet.  So hang in there the forum may be up and down for the next day or 2.  If it becones a perpetual problem I'll have to move it to a new host (despite paying for a year of 15 gig/mo service a month ago).

Sorry for the troubles    I am trying to get things fixed.

the way it was acting was like a server getting DOS/flooded good luck and keep up the good work.

wonder what is taking so much "ps".. PHPbb is a well written software .. i cant see it go down even with pablo's neffing.

I knew something was wrong cause it wouldnt let me backup. On tuesday I noticed that the backup i made on monday was "0 bytes" meaning it did not backup.. but that was late monday night, by tuesday she was gone..

could the server, or the provider have caught a virus?, dunno, but if y'all can put together a site such as this, i know you'll figure it out.  

well im trying a backup right now.. lets see if she goes down..

No it was a force outside GStwin apparently.  Someone was overloading CPU usage and somehow they thought it was me.  If problem appears again I'm requesting the site move to a different server.

John, I had the same problem running turbododge.com with phpbb2. Usage went through the roof and we got shut down desapite paying for 20g/mo. couldn't ever figure out what the deal was but apparantly one script must jhave been hanging or something. Let me know if you need some file space / bandwidth.

Thanks rehab  When they turned the board back on CPU usage went off the chart  They took the server down, changed some settings, rebuilt the databases (I assume all DB's on server) probably refreshed settings or something and turned it back on.  CPU usage is still higher than normal according to Cpanel but they said they won't shut me down again as they know it ain't me.  

Ane yes, they suspect someone else did it and are investigating.  My usage was *slightly* higher than normal on Tuesday but I highly doubt a bot attach happened here.  Funny but Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdat  are the highest usage days.
