just two months ago i sold my gs which i put so much love into, and now i'm already looking at other bikes.  I'm trying to live within a pretty tight budget which simply means i need a bike that will run, no bells and whistles necessary.  I'm somewhat mechanically inclined so fixing a junker wouldn't be a big deal.  There has been one bike to catch my eye and that is the Honda CX 500 and the 500 Turbo.  I don't really know much about them except for their basic drivetrain setup; liquid cooled, opposed v-twin (guzzi-like), and driveshaft power delivery.  I was actually looking for a review from some of ya'll who might have owned or ridden one before.

i had a SUX 500
it is the basis of the HAWK GT engine

they take a little bit to get used to
the torque of the engine will raise the bike in one turn and pull it down in the other
it will freak ya out the first few times

want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop

SUX?  The basis for the Hawk's engine wasn't anything...especially not the CX's engine.

The CX is a great bike...and the turbo if FAST...but it's hard to describe them.  They handle and ride like any other old bike.  Their engine is the only unique thing about them.
