I asked the peeps at the mental-health place, and they said you'd need a double appt just for yourself! They said I was excused! :icon_mrgreen: :kiss3:

Uhmm...is that a tank bag or a cruise-liner trunk!?

i have this Nelson-Riggs one:

i love it. It looks quite a bit bigger on our bikes than it does on that behemoth they have it on on the websites.

Hey annguyen...how do you like that Icon? i read several reviews where people said the buckles broke really fast...have you had any problems with it?

I have had absolutely NO problems.  I love the damn thing!!!

I;ve carried my heaviest books and binders, and I have forgotten to secure the safety buckle...  Going down the MA Turnpike at 75 - 85 and noticing that I forgot the buckle, but still seeing the bag exactly where I put it is a GREAT feeling...

I don't use the "backpack" straps as often tho...  It's kinda a hassle to convert from tank bag to backpack EVERY single time I get on or off the bike.

I've never used the helmet holder tho...  Looks kinda ghey (AJ's fav word :thumb:) and besides...  I carry my helmet so that girls see I'm a biker.  I get more looks that way.

It is a bit more square than some of the others, may help depending on what your carrying.
Compact in normal mode and expands about 3 inches.

I have this GIANT thing:

The top 3/4 zips off, so it's not nearly as tall...  But, you can jam A LOT of crap in it.

I'd say check out the Manta...  I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.

Alphamazing

I've got the Manta and like it a lot. I don't use it much (don't carry many things big enough to necessitate using it), but when I do it does the job great. It's perfect for fitting a few burritos in for lunch somewhere, too. Or a sub sandwich.

just a warning on the smaller icon bag...its TINY.  i couldnt fit a standard size book in it for school.

also...even my girl agreed with me on this one...a man cannot carry that little thing without looking ghey IMO...i tried every way possible to get it to work

but...the construction of it was great...didnt try it on my bike to see how it rode but looked to be well made

i guess i just didnt realize how small it was.  never seen it in person before i bought it, ordered it online.

i think i sold it literally 2 days after i bought it and was only out like 10 bucks on it...not bad i guess.  now i just wear a backpack, sucks but works for the time being

zman43204

i have a nelson rigg magnetic tank bag fits gs good 5 inches deep and exspands to 9 inches kinda like my old ladys crouch works well for me

ajgs500

huh???  If this means what I think it was supposed to mean, totally inappropiate.

Phaedrus

...and if AJ says it is inappropriate, you can be damn frockin' sure that it is. What would make you say something stupid like that?

ANYWAY, I don't have a suggestion for a specific tank bag..but I do suggest that you get one. You will wonder how you made it through without  :thumb: My is some cheapie I got on ebay for like $20 brand new and is big enough to fit what I carry; GPS, cell phone, tire pressure gauge, bandanna, drink / water bottle, wallet, maps, tools, etc., with room to spare.  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.
