Ok, so ya I screwed up and now I need to reset everything.  Only problem is I thought I could get the chain off the sprockets by just pushing it off to the side.. well I was wrong.. so what do I have to do?  the tensioner is removed, so I have to unbolt the cams or something?  I'm lost.

dgyver

One of the cams has to be unbolted to move the chain.
Common sense in not very common.

ok, so I removed the cams, but I can't get the R-T marks lined up.. it will only crank so far before stopping.. WTF is going on here?  and I notcied that the exhaust buckets/shims are sitting alot higher than the intake side.. bah, what did I f%$k up?  Now it looks like I'm going to have to pull the head to see what the hell is going on with the pistons.. not to mention I dropped the rear camchain guide down the hole... !@#!#

Well I went down to the local backyard, work out of his garage full time 9-9 every day mechanic.. he says he'll get around to it wensday.. $40hr is cheaper than the damn dealership, not to mention that the other bike shops in town are booked up two weeks solid.
