Be careful with broad generalizations like that.  Like RVertigo pointed out, that "fact" is pretty weak in the real world. Rarely does a woman who does the same job with the same amount of qualifications at the same agency make less than the equal male counterpart. As pointed out by the here , the gap is mostly because the occupations that are "traditional" woman positions pay less. The men in the "traditional" female position are paid the same as the woman. However, more females need to get themselves into "traditional" male occupations. Nothing unfair or sexist about it. The opportunities are there now where they were not before. Seek them out
