Hey, if the LA guys do a get together, see if they wouldn't mind if I join

Depending on when it happens, I could roll up to LA area and be the last one to get it done that day.

Parents are in Bev. Hills near La Cienega/Wilshire, and I could stop by the meeting to grab the kit after you guys were done so I could do the job the same day, or I could just wait my turn as well.

I've done the valve check twice before, so if there are newbies that are un-initiated/haven't yet memorized Kerry's video, I could help them out.

Not in a rush to do it, I'm already past due, and I'm not putting that many miles on anymore, so it's not a big deal for me to wait.

Hey, mk1incali...since you'll be the next SoCal peep to have the kit...let me know if you'll be at your parent's place when you do the job. If so, i'll join you. If you gonna stay in SD, that's cool...i guess i'll get it next anyway. Just let me know!

Just an update - I have the kit now and am hoping to be through with it by the end of this weekend.  If I need it longer I'll update again.

Unfortunately the kit didn't have the shims I need so I had to order them.  They should be in by the end of the week.  I'll plan on having the job done by Sunday and I'll plan to mail the kit out early next week.  Dave, plz PM me your address.

Hey queso...if mk1incali doesn't want to host a GS valve-adjusting party at his parents pad in beverly hills    you can meet up with me when i get it and see what a lovely "garage" our apartment has. i'd rather do this with someone anyway. But we both know mk1incali should invite us first. 

If you read back a page or two and note what Pablo says about complete cool-downs before checking clearances, you'll understand why a party at my parent's place would do no good for you guys, since my parents wouldn't be too receptive to the idea of 2 unknown bikes in their garage over night as it is shared with their landlord and he's pretty anal about who has access to the garage (rightfully so, I believe).

I'd be more than happy to ride up from SD and help you guys after veeref is done with the kit and it is back in SoCal...I just got a new digital camera, so I need some good long rides to give me some photo ops, and I'm always glad to meet more guys that don't fall for the whole bigger is necessarily better trap like most Americans do.
