Nope not restricted yet. Il have it restricted intially whether or not i take it out early is another question altogether.

You need the certificate to get the insurance and insurance discount. But if the bike does 140mph unrestricted and 110mph restricted - either of those you are breaking the speed limit and you would come off just as bad in each of those (fatal probably) so there really is no point at all in putting a restrictor in. Fair enough if it restricted you to motorway speeds or something but not if it just lowers the top speed. If you get pulled for speeding they don't check - they only check for if you have insurance and your driving license etc. However if you were in a serious crash and they did a proper inspection of your bike and found that the restrictors wern't in then you would be in the S*%T.

yeah thats true but ull probably be dead or ur bike almost destroyed if u crash at a fast speed. hey u have the autobon, i just got back their, some bikers are crazy their

Nah im in the UK no autobahn here, just in germany. Unlimited speed on those. We have the isle of man - also unlimited speed but on twisty country roads because its actually a race track!

lol, ya i was only their for 2 days unfortunatly i was ketching up with my friend in germany and i kind of did the turist thing in london. Lots of gs, i mean lots, i saw more gs's their then in all of the rest of europe.

Yup. If you had stayed up abit longer you could have come seen my new zxr  We have a spare room too so no smelly german hotel rooms

Why dont they put bikes out like that over here in the US.

because here in the US motorcycles are trated like hobbies, wile in europe and japan they are a main way of transportation.

Cuz here in the U.S., "working one's way up" on bikes means *maybe* taking the MSF....yanno...get that experience on the 125 or 250.....then *maybe* spend a couple of months on a 250 or 500....*maybe*.....

Then once you've got that weekor so  under your  belt, you're ready for that 750! But....oh chit! So.... do too many n00bs in the U.S. think they should be ridin' 'busas cuz there aren't good, smaller-displacement bikes on the market....or would smaller-displacement bikes not make it in the U.S., cuz too many n00bs think that they're above ridin' these silly little bikes that are less than litre? 

I like to think that by the time i am released onto the roads with a license of the ability i could ride whatever i want that i am already a very competant motorcyclist. And this is what i tell myself when im frustrated about going slow and been forced to corner expertly to keep corner speed up for streights because i top out at 65mph. However ive stepped up now abit and i have to learn to control the power while keeping my corner speed. Then when it becomes unrestricted i can move up to bigger bike. I may never go higher than a 600, but i would love to at least have a go on a gixxer 1k. But i wouldn't ever go into the terratory of 1300 and 1400cc super super sports like hyabusa's and kawasakis.

I won't ever NEED more than a 600...but I might be up for a 'buse some day.....

Nicky, darlin', they passed a new law in Florida this past month. It's been dubbed the "Nick Villain" law. Yes  they do rent bikes over in the UK. I checked into it the last time I went. I'm saving now so that I can take a two week road trip up to Scotland and back. I'll be stopping in Lemington Spa
