YAAAY!!!!!! I'm a n00b, not a n00d!!! Got up this morning, headed over to Miami, met with MNParadise, and got the bike! Woohoo!! When I got it home, I had to take it for a spin, even though I don't have a license/insurance/tag yet. Yes, I know, bad n00d, stupid, etc... Well, I was just going to drive it from my driveway to the next one over (we own both houses).. once I got it on the road though (no stalling first time.. yay!) I was like "Well, screw it, this is fun!".. so I went not one.. but... *gasp*.. FOUR houses down the road!   Went to turn her around in the driveway... got her almost all the way around, put my foot down, and slipped (it was drizzling, after having rained most of the day.. damn tropical storm/depression/whatever). Of course, I put her down. Fortunately, I was not moving forward, and I was able to controll the descent. Not a scratch on her, didn't even ding the barend, just moved the mirror a bit. Reached down and killed her, had my friend help me lever her up. Started right up with just a bit of throttle. Rode her the 4 houses back down to mine, parked her in the garage, and admired her for a few hours. Now I'm stuck trying to think of a name. If any of you have ideas, after viewing the pics, feel free to post them here. Something female (duh!) and exotic or unusual is preferred. I was told to name her after this girl I like.. but that could lead to some uhh.. uncomfortable questions..

For those of you who posted input on my other thread, about licensing issues, thanks for the advice/sarcasm/whatever  I figured it all out. It was deceptively easy, I'm kind of retarded. (no offense to those who may be or may know someone who is differently abled.. *cough*davipu*cough*  )

It's simple, really.. I got on the FL DMV website, and requested a renewal of my old license. Put in my social and my birthday, it pulled it up, with my address, and everything. I changed it so that it no longer said Florida resident (I'm a GA resident now, hence this whole licensing mess in the first place), and paid the $10 fee. It will be sent to me within 7 days. I can now take that FL license to a FL DMV with an MSF cert, and get my motorcycle endorsement. When I get back to Atlanta, I can take that FL license with MC endorsement and get a GA license with MC endorsement. I may pay a few extra dollars for all the duplicates and stuff.. but it will keep me completely legal, which is a plus! I'm so excited!

And now, for the people who don't care to read all that (or just plain can't!) here's the pics:

Here she is waiting to be loaded into my truck

here she is in the truck on the way home (crappy pic)

Here's a few of her resting in my newly clean garage:

That's all for now. The PO had installed the windscreen (not sure if it's an F-15 or an F-16 and too lazy to search for now ), and also the red multi-LED brakelights from clearalternatives, so now all I have to do is install the white down facing ones for the tag (which I don't have yet.. the tag, not the lights.. he included those!).. which is good, cuz the LED brakelights was one of my planned mods. Upcoming mods include a fenderectomy (as soon as I get a temp tag, so I know my dimensions), and eventually flush mounts, bar end mirrors, and progressive springs (those are all far in the future though)

Pics of me IN FULL GEAR on the bike to come soon..

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Ditch that butt f(*&ing ugly fender before I come down there in the middle of the night and do it myself.    :icon_razz:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

The twin to my '02. I love that paint.

Bust out a chainsaw on that rear and lose those antlers and get some Napoleons. They make that bike look like a bad ass bull.

Congrats.
No time to wash the bike

Congrats.  That's a nice E. And just barely broken in.
I brake for bezier curves.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

Great bike grats on getting it.  Really like to color.  Oh btw you should check out the Ga DMV I don't think they accept MC's endorsments from other stats.  You will have to either pass the DMV course or take the MSF here.  Not sure but you might want to check and make sure.

Now quit acting like a NOOB :cookoo:  be safe and take your time. You can't ride dead.

P.S.  Name her after a chick you've always lusted after but never got to have. That way when you say your mounting *insertnamehere* it will be good thought to your mind.

Your first bike should be named after your first girlfriend (unless you named your first guitar after your first girlfriend, in which case you need to name it after a porn star, because that bike is dead sexy).
