Shims for the valves are on order... but carbs are clean as a whistle... actually weren't to bad to begin with.  At least now I won't be afraid to tackle the carbs on my own in the future.  Once the valve shims are replaced, I'll be ready to join in on one of the Noob rides.     Thanks again scratch for all your help!
