my name is chris, i've been riding my gs for about a year and a half now...recently, i bought a 92 katana with a 750 gixxer engine in it (92 or 91, i believe).  I have a slight gas leak...it looks like it is coming from under the carbs...this bike has been jetted and race-tuned by a former owner...any ideas what i can do about the gas leak???

Well, it depends on where exactly it's coming from. Odds are with it being raced the carbs have been apart a LOT and may need new float bowl gaskets. Or it could be as simple as an old fuel line. If you can clean everything up and narrow it down to a single spot you'll speed up your troubleshooting quite a bit.

While I like to think we know it all..er, we can answer most questions about the GS for your particular question I suggest you check out the folks at www.maximum-suzuki.com . I e-hang out there too and they are focused on bandits, katanas, and old gixxers so between the lot of them they should be able to not only asnwer your question (although some here might also) but they might be a source of further information about your franken-bike.
