Does the Suzuki gel seat fit the 2001+ models?  I looked on the Suzuki site under accessories and they didn't show one.  I hear they are about $150 or so and pretty comfortable.

They don't make one.

I have contacted partsdepot in NJ, and spent 2 days conversing back and forth between Robert and Suzuki Head office.

The current GEL Seat only fits up to 2000.

I thought so, but I looked at the "past showrooms" section of the site and they didn't show a gel seat listed for the 2000 model either, so I got hopeful and was thinking maybe they just don't have them on the site.

Oh well, I pulled the upholstry back on my stock seat last night and cut out some (most) of the foam.  I replaced it with some other foam I got from work.  It seemed comfy on my ride to dry my chain after I cleaned it this morning.  I will be going on a ride to Thobodaux today which is 1 1/2 hours each way.  I will know how well it really feels tonight.
