Nice bags Amanda  ;) Nice seat, too. Haha. I dont thinkt hey are really "too big". The only thing I would have worried about on my bike is that my exhaust angle is higher than yours, so those particular bags would not have worked for me. Unless I wanted to burn a hole in them.

What did you do to make the seat cover?  It is really kool!  8)

Well I went to the craft store (you could even go to Walmart) and I found that awesome hawaiian print that matched my bike.  I bought 1 square yard.  Then, I took off the seat and just used a heavy duty staple gun to tack it on.  I put it right over the black cover for when I want to take it off. You just have to make sure you pull all the ends tight when you staple it.

Very cool idea... but won't that rip your seat when you try to remove the heavy duty staples to take the cover off??

Did you get those bags from New Enough? What are they called exactly, or do you have the item # for it? Thx!  :thumb:

P.S.-You said you attached them the wrong way the first time... how do you attach them? Just wondering.

1.  It won't rip anything b/c they're on the underside of the seat in the hard plastic...they will just come straight out.  If you look how the stock seat cover is attached you will see what I mean.

2. Yes they are from new enough... http://www.newenoughhp.com/nelson_rigg_standard_saddle_bag_page.htm

If I could go back in time, I would have gotten these...
http://www.newenoughhp.com/nelson_rigg_mini_saddle_bag_page.htm

I thought they would be too small though.

3.  I put them on backwards in the second pic.  They just get velcro'd together and the straps go under the seat.

Guess what??    In 2 weeks I CAN SHOW YOU THEM IN PERSON!!!!   :icon_mrgreen:

Bargovic, maybe we can plan a ride down together, the Williamsport contingent?

More details to follow as the time draws near. :)

Ok, we got a week to go! w00t, w00t!

Let's just make sure everyone is on the same page. We've got quite a few members that won't be camping, so I want to make sure we have a plan for everyone to follow so no one misses out.

FRIDAY: What do you guys want to do?  Maybe we can all go out somewhere?  From what I have read, there is an A+W down the road, but everything else is fastfood. Don't forget the gameroom and stuff onsite. Any ideas / suggestions? We will all be getting there at different times, so it is probably hard to plan. But I assume everyone that is coming Friday night will be there by atleast 7-8pm?

SATURDAY: I think we should follow Jetswing's suggested itinerary for Saturday, but the site has been down for a couple days.  :dunno_white: It is a good outline, though. We've got to remember to stop for ice cream somewhere along the route, it was deemed "Amandatory" by another member. *rimshot* HAHA. Yeah...

Jace has volunteered to be the group ride leader.  For safety reasons, Noob riders should be in the middle and toward the back. The more experienced riders should be up in the front and at the very back. Remember to ride your own ride, even in a group setting :)

Anyway, we should start out the group ride at about 10am from Sandy Valley.  Guests that will not be camping need to pay a guest fee of like $5 to Sandy Valley, but it will be worth it so you can come back and hang out with everyone after the group ride and be there for the Gstwin NE BBQ :) Anyone have any ideas of how we're going to work that?  We can buy all the food and supplies from the general store on the campgrounds, but it will likely be expensive. Maybe we can start a list of who is responsible for buying what? Or just all chip in money for the food and buy it from Sandy Valley or a local grocery store? Any thoughts on this?

CONTACT INFORMATION: I PM'd my cell phone # to everyone that is listed as confirmed for going, so everyone should have atleast one contact but most of us have more.  Maybe some others should PM out their cell #'s just in case another member needs to get ahold of one of you?. This come in very handy at Carlisle last year. I don't want anyone out there by themselves not being able to find the group! :)

As a side note, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to copy down the Sandy Valley phone # and some emergency contact information.

BIKE CHECKS: Now might be a good time to remind everyone to check their bike to make sure it is in good mechanical condition and up to snuff for the trip, and for the group ride. I just got my new tires, and I'll be doiing my oil change this weekend. Check your chain and adjust it if necessary - check your tire pressures (33 front / 36 rear for solo riding on the GS) - make sure all of your lights work - your brake fluid level is good -your oil level is good - all that sort of stuff.

If anyone has any fantabulous idears, PLEASE come forth :)

Rich ....I love your sense of planning, but chillax!!  It's just camping. We can wing it!  The girls can go food shopping as long as the guys give us money, then we'll come back and cook (as long as the guys give us money  lol)    My idea is going for ice cream.   And that's all I have to say about that.   THAT WAS A GOOD ONE..."Amandatory"  haha

Yeah, I am chillaxed. I just remember what happened to last summer's Hershey PA ride that no one put any planning into: Nothing.

:icon_razz:   There was hardly any response to that Hershey, PA ride... Tim and I were the only ones that said we'd go.

I still thought it was a good idear though.  :icon_mrgreen:

P.S.-I wonder if we're going to have any "surprise visitors" next Saturday at the Kmart again?  (5.0)  ;)

Chillax Weasel

Seriously tho, you are all set. I reserved our cabin fo the two nights for 2 adults, you are not a "guest". Ever use "ghosties" when you played baseball as a kid? "Ghostie on third!". Well, Friday night there will be a ghostie on your side of the cabin.  They won't know if you are actually in there or not - and even if they did, they don't care, they are paid up. You'll just settle up with me when you come on Saturday. So when you show up Saturday, it will be like you were there all along. Like me and the others that are actually staying on Friday.

Ok, let's say you are doing a backyard baseball game. You have 6 people, 3 on each team. Let's say for example, that your team is at bat. You have one guy on 1st, one guy on 2nd, and then you are hitting. Let's say you hit the ball and make it to first base. The guy on 2nd makes it to 3rd, and the guy that was one 1st made it to second. Now you have all three of your players on the bases - but now who is going to bat? Most likely, you would take the guy from 3rd base and send him to the plate and call a "ghosty" on third. It is like saying "I know there is no one ACTUALLY there, but let's pretend there is for general purpose". So then the guy that was on third base goes to bat - hits the ball - and then the "ghosty" runs home and scores a run.
