yah he bought it like 10 years ago and he has been friends with the guy for a long time, so he knew the bike was in very good shape.  He has always taken care of things, thats one good thing i learne from my dad...

yeah i bet.... my dad use to have the 1500 1993 gold wing for 10 years... then bought the 1800 2004 gold wing that had guts...... and now a harley road king costum with a 1550... my mom had a suzuki evolutio trike.... and now she has a harley road king costum also pearl wite 1450 trike.... 

    but i had a gold wing 1800 in my ass before and they move quick so i imagine your dads 1200 must be quick to lol.....

i like more riding with my dad then my friend..... we kinda like to compete lol..... have fun riding with your folks cause !!!

That's awesome! My folks each have a Vulcan 800. My dad's is the Custom model (skinny front tire), and my mom's is the Classic model (fat front tire). They're both decked out in chrome, with kickass paintjobs and both have 50/50 pipes. I'd love to be able to ride with them, but I live about 4500km away from them.

I never had the opportunity to ride with my dad.  A drunk driver took care of that before I was born.  Something I never thought about until he passed away.

And my mom's a moron...I would trust her within 100ft of a bike.

Only family member I get to cruise with is my brother on his 883 Sportster.  We usually have one or two of his friends tag along.

yah its real nice ridin with them, i took my moms Boulevard out for a lil ride then i see a headlight and my dad flies by me on MY BIKE at like 100, lol...  it was funny, there was NO WAY my moms bike was gonna catch up, and no tach, so i dont know how much to rev it, b/c it sounds so different from my bike...  he slowerd down and let me catch up though...

thats what my dad would do lol ha ha!!!!  thats pretty funny
