At $4799 I might have been on EXTwin.com. They also claim 54hp for 2003. That is a very nice color scheme.

It reminds me of the early eighty's EXs and GPZ paint scheme so I think it looks ugly and old fashioned.

Looks like they're banking on the popularity of half-faired bikes with painting the lower black. The color stripes don't look good IMO but the silver definitely updates the look.

just try finding ANY ex500 forum on the internet, lt alone as good a forum as this one! ex250 has one but no forum for the 500...HA.

The EX is just like the GS in that they changed nothing but paint schemes. Same bike as it was in 2001 and in 1991!!

There are quite a few subtle changes from 2000-2001+ on the GS. The adjustable levers and front brake caliper are from the SV650 in 2001+. Bigger carbs, bigger tank, nicer seat, better styling, new controls. The EX hasn't even been freshened up, and I've been trying to find out where the extra 3 hp come from over last year.
