How is it supposed to work? I have never seen my oil light come on, but I noticed another GS where the oil light came on whenever the switch was set to on without the engine running... Could my oil light be burned out, or is there a sensor somewhere I should fiddle with? I'd like to get it operating properly...

I know for mine, the oil light will come on if the kickstand is down and i'm in gear (doens't relate to oil level though...)

Bizarre... I don't think my kickstand affects anything electronically...
