q'n for after fitting of clip ons

heya guys,

my clip-on's finally arrived from the US and you're awesome.... good finish on em - mayne thanks to www.stuntme.com ....  :icon_mrgreen:

my q'n is - what have you guys done to remount the gauges once you take that top plate off?? i need help with this one.. any pics would be greatly appreciated..

Why would you remove the top plate just to put on clip ons? Do you have a pic of them? Depending on what style you have , you should either be able to drop the forks abit to run them or mount them undet the triple.   O0

I know my plan was to get clip-ons with a rise and mount them under the top triple so that i could leave the top plate on for the gauges.  I think that someone arounf here also fabricated a new top plate to mount the gauges too but i can't recall who it was.

this post shows my clipons...just removed the stock handlebar mounting plate...you dont have to touch the gauges...i just made a plate to cover up the ugly triple clamp.

hmmm... i could have swore the gauges attached to the top plate... I'll have to look at that again... did you have to drop the forks at all to get those clip-ons to fit?

you just move the fork tubes up in the triple a bit...mine was about a half inch..not much...once that big ugly stock handlemount is out of the way there is room...so it wont affect the bike at all.

yeah mine don't look anything like that.... i've posted the link for the ebay thingy where i get them from so you can see what they look like..

the actual clamp itself is about 30mm in height....
