I don't really like hard alcohol much anymore unless I want to get drunk fast, and drinking it straight is just too boring. Anybody here make their own hard alcohol/beer/wine? I've been brewing beer, and it is very good!

I've been brewing for about six years off and on now.  I agree that it is far better than any production beer you will find.  Once you get the courage and experience, try an all-grain batch.  You won't ever want to go back to the canned malt extract again 

I'm too lazy to read about it, what all is involved in all grain brewing?

Tequila isn't a drink, its a poison. Go trade it for some real alcohol. Alternatively, take Tequila poppers- pour one shot into a double shot glass, pour in a shot of sprite, cover it and bang it on the table to make it fizz up, then drink (quickly).

First point - you are wrong tequila isn't poison, it is the poison of choice
Second point - Those shots rock, is kills the aftertaste with a fizzy delight

My point - Beer is the poison of choice for broke bastards, that or everclear

Enjoy the hell out of the honeymoon man and congrats.  As for recomendations try a local made mezcal, similar to tequila but quite a bit smoother, it is great.  But if you have new wifey, as in my honeymood in about t minus 11 months, I would stay away from hard drinks and gravitate tward the bedroom

i been living with her for the past year and a half so the honeymoon will be more about just enjoying each other in the activities we choose.  just have fun all around

However, for a tequila mixer, I like koolaid.  Any "mellon" flavor.  Best one I've experienced so far is kiwi watermellon.  When you make the koolaid, leave it about 2 cups of water shy.  Mix it 1oz tequila to 4oz koolaid (that's 2 shots per cup) and pour over crushed ice.
