So I was doing a little riding in the city, and putt putt putt, I ran outa gas.  In the middle of a huge busy street.   I never stopped I just reached down, turned to reserve,  and got her started again. 

Its nothing really special, It just when I first got her I practiced it many times, and this was the first time I had to do it and did it perfectly

u didnt feel it before you actually ran out of gas.... happened to me yesterday night for the first time and its not that hard and you can actually feel it missing before you get to that point

Well It kinda came fast,  One hit of the gas, I got a sputter, and the second it was dead

oh me all it did was starting missing so im like this isnt normal.... swiched it to reserve and it was ok again

good job brah...i remember the first time i had to do it...It started to stutter and i pulled in the clutch and it died...i was like woah and realeased the clutch and it chirpped the rear wheel...kinda like push starting...that's when i switched to reserve

mine died slowly, i shifted to lower gears and was able to pull over to use the switch

1st time I switched to reserve I was riding my friends ex250 and it died on interstate. I thought I'd broken it, after 10 min I thought back to MSF and got back on the road.

I'm extremely lucky that the only time I've run out of gas was about a month after I got the bike... and it was as I was rolling into my driveway.

I ran her to reserve two days ago on purpose, just to see if I could switch her over without stopping. Been practicing reaching back to the petcock ever since I started riding. She started missing, I reached down, switched, back to normal. Did the same thing today on the interstate at 90 mph... easy as pie!

Had my first stutter yesterday on the expressway riding 2 up.  No problems hitting the reserve, glad I had been practicing.
