Picked up my new 03 SV1000S Yesterday for $4000 with 6000 miles and its a fun bike...

Good deal.  Low miles.  looks good.  It's a wheelie machine too!  Be careful with the go fast knob in corners, as you will learn what crosswheeling is all about.

That's because your buddy doesn't know how to ride.  I can pull away from my buddy's SV1K out of corners on the overweight z1000.  Tell your buddy I'll race him for pink slips   You gotta be in the right gear coming out of a corner or you're dead against a twin.  I know, I had one.

Have you noticed that you don't need to worry so much about your gear choice?  Whatever gear you're in you have power.

I love that color.  I only wish they had kept it going for a few years.

man, you got an awesome deal!  I've been looking at SV1000s for a while and nice ones usually go for around 6k.  If I saw one that clean for 4k I'd be all over it.

Dammit, this thread is making me wonder if I should get the SV1S or the Gixxer 750 now. Damm it dammit

Now no matter which one I get im going to wonder what the other is like

That is a screeming good deal.  I paid $3500 for an '03 SV650S and it had more miles!  I suck!

No, but I am really jealous.  That is pretty much one of the most awsome buys I've ever seen.

The SV will be a lot easier to ride fast.  V-twin.  That's where it is at.  My next bike: SV1K or an RC51.

Hey, what the insurance rate on the thing.

its probably alot, because other drivers will be to busy popping boners to be able to hit the brake when they peek at your bike.

 IM SO JEALOUS
