I just wanted to say Hello!!  I am so new at riding that I have had my permit for a month now..  I also have 2 kids so it's hard to get a babysitter to go riding.. I started just going up and down my street, BUT just last Sunday I went through some lights, 3 U turns and a stop and go on a hill.  I was so excited, I didn't stall once    Well, I guess thats good now now!!  I am glad I found this site, noone I know has a GS 500, should be nice to have found people to talk to!!!

Have you taken the MSF course yet, Biker? Highly recommended, and they teach a lot of good stuff!

Welcome! Your doing things correctly, take it easy at first and build up your confidence. The worst thing you can do on a motorcycle is freak out, your reactions have to be w/o thought. Good luck and have fun!

OK, maybe this is better??!!  and if not oh well!!!  LOL  Thank you for all the welcomes!!  I will be taking the MSF Class in a month or so!!  I want to make sure I am not totally new when I go!!!  and don't worry it will take alot more then a few comments to scare me away!!    i mean
