Hi, I'm new here and this is my second post.  I have a 06 GS and just ordered a jet kit from ebay and the K&N filter.  I've been hunting for an exhaust system for a while and finally found one....A Jardine Aluminum SS exhaust.  So far it has been the only one that I have found for a 04 to 06 GS so I ordered one.  Paid 339.00 + S&H and should be in my hands in a few weeks since these are new systems.  I ask the shop and they claim this system is gong to be way better than the one offered by V&H for the older GS.  Anyway, I guess there may be a few around that would like one of these.  If interested check out exoticsportbikes.com.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

just be sure ot get the carbs rejeted, or you will be asking how to replace valves. also it is mandatory to have the vavles checked and ajusted by the dealer every 4K as in the manual.  bad  things happen to those that dont.

Or, with a few hand tools and some common sense, you can check/adjust your own valves.

Actually, I rejeted the carburators this last Sunday.  Also, my bike just came from dealer's maintnance a week ago.  They did find a worn out shim but its been taken care off.  I guess I will install the exhaust as son as I get home from work tonight!!

Install was cake.  The only issue was puting the ruber stop bushing from the stock exhaust into the new one.  Besides this issue, I had the stock exhaust out and the new one back on in like 40 minutes.  It sounds great.. and between the rejet, K&N, and this exhaust it seems the bike wants to hit air even with my 218 lbs.  On a side note, I was having my plastics painted all black so I didn't have to remove them.  I guess you could add another 15-20 minutes if you have to take yours out.  Later!!

what jets did you use?

No offense taken.  I'm sure even with all the work I've done on bikes I will come across some issues that most likely will cause me to crie for help!!

Well, I've ordered this kit from Canada which consisted of some shims (#4), and some jets.  The # on the jets is 137.5.  I set the air at two and a quarter turns.  No smoke, no weird noises, and the RPM needle seems to behave perfect.  The only thing I notice is the choke don't quite works the same!?  If I don't touch the choke and hold the throtle 1/4 open for 10 sec. the bikes idles perfect!!
